EXLAB Makerspace

Georgia State University

EXLAB is a collaborative environment centered around experiential learning, creativity, and innovation. It is community driven and hosts a variety of student-led workshops based on the requests of Georgia State University students. EXLAB is the first makerspace at the university to include all student, staff, and faculty from all departments and disciplines.

Maker Faire Atlanta

Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies, experiments, projects.

Called the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth, it is a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.

Geekspace Gwinnett

Geekspace Gwinnett is a non-profit makerspace located in the Atlanta area, serving Gwinnett County. They offer a space where makers from all disciplines can gather to tinker. Members have access to available tools and machinery. They also host a variety of classes and events for members and non-members alike.


Social Business and Microcredit Forum

Georgia Gwinnett College

Competition asked students to identify a social problem in the community, conduct a market analysis, and develop a business strategy to address the problem. The Read4Life! business plan aimed to eradicate adult illiteracy in Georgia by distributing learning and teaching material via local community programs.
